Some Shelf Stable Immune Boosting Foods To Help Prevent/Fight Disease

Iron: Canned meat, poultry, or seafood, beans, raisins, dried fruits (raisins, apricots, prunes) canned spinach

Protein: Canned meat, fish, or poultry, shelf stable milk, pulses (dried or canned: peas, chickpeas, lentils, and beans), nuts and nut butters, seeds (pumpkin, hemp, or chia), quinoa, amaranth, chickpea pasta, lentil pasta

Omega 3 Fatty Acids: Canned salmon, tuna, or sardines; flaxseed, chia seeds, walnuts, canola oil

Selenium: Canned tuna or sardines, barley, Brazil nuts

Zinc: Canned meats, poultry, or seafood; whole grains, seeds, nuts, dried or canned beans

Vitamin A: Canned: pumpkin, carrots, spinach, or sweet potatoes

Vitamin C: Citrus fruit cups, tomato sauce or juice, canned spinach

Vitamin D: Canned tuna, salmon, or sardines; shelf stable milk, fortified cereals

Vitamin E: Oils (Sunflower or safflower), sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, almonds, peanut butter, wheat germ
